Catch Basin/Drain Repair

The Most Important area's to protect from the Freeze & Thaw process of Fall, Winter & Spring are Catch Basin. This is where the water gathers and is most susceptible to extensive damages. If water is seeping down the outside of the drain barrel it can cause sink holes and eventually lead to a barrel replacement, which is Very Expensive.

The Traditional Asphalt Repair methods, have a larger environmental impact.

It requires large amounts of new products like oil, sand, and gravel to produce new asphalt. More waist being sent to landfills and More fuel consumption by trucking waist out & deliver the new product to site. This can be avoided with Infrared repair, while achieving all of the desired results.

Traditional Industry Repair Methods

"Cut Outs" are a traditional method of cutting out and replacing the asphalt with new asphalt, which always leaves seams that will eventually cause collateral damage. This happens because the old & new asphalt is only held together by tack oil, and it will separate!

This method can also cause settling from disturbing the base materials, which in many cases can be avoided.

Next, Rubberized crack fill is then used to fill the cracks and try to slow the collateral damages caused by water seeping into the cracks. This process has to be done repeatedly adding more cost to the original repair.

Yet the freeze & thaw process of winter always wins in the end, causing more collateral damages.

"Tack & Pack" is another method often used as a cheap short term solution. This method also will eventually cause collateral damage due to water seepage into the seams.

Infrared Asphalt Repair Process

Infrared is considered a green technology that offers a seamless repair through the method of thermal-bonding the existing asphalt with the new asphalt repair. As seen below, the asphalt is heated, repaired, & compacted.

Resulting in bonded edges without seams, offering longevity to the repair and the surrounding asphalt.
